Fortnite v10.30 adds 60fps support for the Samsung Galaxy Note 10

If you call yourself a gamer and love playing Fortnite on your smartphone, then you probably own (or at least plan to own) one of the few smartphones that support playing the game at 60fps. There aren't many of them; only about 10 phones support it. Epic Games is slowly working on adding support for more mainstream smartphones, and with the latest update, Epic has now added support for the Samsung Galaxy Note 10 and Note 10+.

Epic Games seems to have pretty strict guidelines for enabling 60fps playback on Android devices. While many devices could support it, like the OnePlus 7 Pro or LG V50 ThinQ, they don't. This is because Epic Games has to whitelist support for each device. They haven't announced any guidelines regarding what it takes for a device to support 60fps, but it seems that they are selectively adding support for popular devices with flagship-level specifications. If their criteria were just based on the processor alone, it's likely way more devices would support it.

Besides the Galaxy Note 10 series, the list of other devices with support for 60fps is pretty small. Since Epic Games doesn't maintain an official list of such devices, we can only know from what we test. From a good variety of devices, I have found that 60fps in Fortnite supports the Samsung Galaxy Note 10, Samsung Galaxy Note 10+, Samsung Galaxy S10e, Samsung Galaxy S10+, Samsung Galaxy S10, and Snapdragon Samsung Galaxy Note 9. Along with those Samsung devices, 60fps can be found in the Xiaomi Mi 9, Sony Xperia 1, Honor 20, Honor 20 Pro, Honor View 20, Huawei P30, Huawei P30 Pro, Huawei Mate 20 X, and the Huawei Mate 20 Pro.

While there might be some apps or mods you can use to get it up to 60fps on any device, I do not recommend doing them. Using these can get your Fortnite account permanently banned. If this happens, there is no way to recover any skins, emotes, or wraps you might have purchased. It is highly recommended that you NOT use these.

Getting 60fps support on more devices is great, especially with support for controllers being added a while back. Features like these make the whole experience of mobile gaming just that much better.
