Fortnite patch notes 12.10: all the squashed bugs

The Fortnite patch notes 12.10 make some fixes to the famous battle royale to make your road to victory that bit smoother. Following months of waiting, Fortnite Chapter 2 Season 2 is here, along with a fresh battle pass, new cosmetics, and an updated map. That said, Epic Games isn't sitting on its hands: we now have a second Fortnite update to keep battle royale feeling fresh as a daisy.

Of course, with a major new set of Fortnite patch notes that ushered in the new season, there are some new bugs to squash. I've detailed them below, plus what else you can expect from future updates in terms of items and new weapons to add to your Victory Royale-chasing arsenal.

Fortnite update 12.10: bug fixes

Sometimes Epic details the patch notes in full on its website, but that doesn't seem to be the case this time. However, thanks to its Trello board, we have a good idea of the kinds of hitches and glitches that've been tackled in 12.10, plus what's being addressed in future. Here are the bug fixes we know about so far:

  • Unable to close map with map input if bound to directional pad up.
  • Weak point hits not registering when very close to them.
  • XP gain from XP Coins not appearing in XP bar.
  • Teammate arrows flickering/temporarily disappearing in Team Rumble.
  • Weak Point hits not registering when very close to them.
  • Flair style of Y0ND3R incorrectly locked.
  • Big Haul Glider variant may not unlock.
  • Fortnite patch notes: future content we can expect

Thanks to FNBR.io, we have an idea of the new content we could be getting from future updates. Naturally they are based on leaks, so may not be representative of what will eventually come to the final game, but they are persuasive.

The leaks detail upcoming skins and suggest a return for the Scoped Assault Rifle, plus the introduction of a legendary variant of that weapon. Equally there's hints of a new proximity mine and other clues that suggest the introduction of a helicopter. While a chopper would fit with the secret agent/heist theme of this current season, we haven't seen anything concrete in-game for it yet.
