Biden slams governors he says are 'actively working to undermine the battle towards COVID-19' while announcing new method to rein in the pandemic

Biden went forward with a sweeping new strategy to rein in rising numbers of COVID circumstances in the US.

The president's plan to battle the surge includes, in part, vaccine and mask mandates.

Biden also ripped governors he said try to undermine efforts to slow the pandemic.

President Joe Biden on Thursday tore into governors he said are threatening the U.S.' progress on stemming the tide of the COVID-19 pandemic.

"There are elected officers actively working to undermine the battle in opposition t COVID-19," Biden referred to at a information convention. "as an alternative of encouraging people to get vaccinated and mask up, they are ordering cellular morgues for the unvaccinated death from COVID in their communities."

Biden introduced his new COVID-19 action Plan, "course out of the Pandemic," which aims, in part, to get extra people vaccinated within the US, maintain faculties open, and offer protection to the broader financial system.

The Biden administration is also leaning in on masking and checking out mandates, while watching for the meals and Drug Administration to approve booster shots for americans who are already wholly vaccinated.

As part of the trouble to hold faculties open, Biden entreated governors to require COVID vaccinations for college and staff. in the early months of the pandemic in 2020, colleges nationwide shut their doors and moved scholar guide absolutely online.
