ALBANY. N.Y. — Ten preteens from round big apple have won the first circular of state school scholarships for 5-to-eleven-year-olds who get vaccinated against Covid-19, Gov. Kathy Hochul introduced Saturday.
The youths' names were drawn via lottery after their folks or guardians entered them within the "Vaccinate, , Graduate" contest. It's open to little ones 5 to eleven who get their first vaccine dose with the aid of Dec. 19. Weekly drawings will proceed via Dec. 20.
Winners get training, room and board for an affiliate's or bachelor's diploma software at a brand new York State or ny metropolis public institution, plus cash for books and components.
