China's southern Guangzhou metropolis detects one COVID-19 infection of Omicron variant

BEIJING (Reuters) - health authorities in the southern chinese city of Guangzhou have detected one an infection of the Omicron coronavirus variant, the state broadcaster CCTV pointed out on Tuesday.

The contaminated person, a 67-12 months-historic man who entered China from remote places in November and flew to Guangzhou after quarantine remaining week, demonstrated fine while he was isolated at domestic within the city, in line with CCTV.

The case follows China's first Omicron detection in the northern Tianjin city, a person who had additionally arrived from abroad.
