Today's Google doodle is definitely an anime-infused sports game

Google went all-on today's doodle to mark the beginning of the Tokyo, japan Olympic games. Choose the modified emblem and you may play 'Doodle Champion Island Games,' an anime-infused title featuring sports small-games. Google states it is the largest interactive doodle it's available.

You control Lucky the kitty inside a pixel-art landscape dotted with Japanese landmarks. When you join one of many color-coded teams, you are able to be a part of small-games including ping pong and skateboarding. The controls are relatively straightforward, counting on various mixtures of the arrow keys and spacebar. We won gold within the ping pong and performed kick-flips and fakies while skateboarding effortlessly. The doodle will hang in there for that coming days, adding new games on the way.

The cut scenes are pretty lush, too. Based on Google, the interactive doodle is made together with STUDIO4°C, the Tokyo, japan-based animation house behind movies like Tekkonkinkreet. Additionally, it labored on action-adventure puzzle game Catherine. You will discover much more about Doodle Champion Island Games within the behind-the-scenes video below.
